This award to Thomas Dalton acknowledges his contributions to the hospice patients and families he has served in Broward County. He was also recognized as the National Music Therapy Internship Director, training music therapy students over the past 14 years.

“Recipient of the 2019 Individual Healthcare Professional Award from Sunshine Health and the Greater Fort Lauderdale Chamber of Commerce. This award recognizes Mr. Dalton's contributions to Broward County in expanding the Broward VITAS Music Therapy program which has provided music therapy for hospice patients and families, and as the founder and director of "Camp VITAS," a family bereavement camp. Tom is also the coordinator for weekly bereavement support groups in partnership with The Children's Bereavement Center. The groups meet Monday at Parkland and Wednesdays at Nova University.”
