Therapeutic Music Lessons
Therapeutic Music lessons are provided for children and teens with special needs. Music lessons on a varitey of instruments are combined with a therapeutic approach to meet the educational and social needs of children and teens. Learning favorite songs and chords, songwriting, and music theory is integrated with the abilities of the students. Other skills learned in the process are increasing focusing and concentration, following directions, finger/hand dexterity, taking turns, and creative expression through music. Different instruments including keyboards, drums & percussion, acoustic and electric guitars, ¾ size guitars, and ukuleles are available to the students. Helping children and teens enjoy making music is the number one goal!
