Words and Music by Tom Dalton
This childrens' song deals with kids fear about hurricanes and lets them know that it's ok to be scared and that their parents or guardians will keep them safe during the storm.
Sometimes I Get So Scared

Chorus
Sometimes I get so scared when the hurricanes come
My mom and dad they say “Don’t worry hun”
So I just play and try to have some fun
Cause it's ok to be scared when the hurricanes come

We put the shutters on the windows and bought some new flashlights
My dad got a generator and he says it works all right
But when the winds starts blowin’ and the storm has just begun
Sometimes I get so scared when the hurricanes come

(chorus)

I try hard not to show it but I’m worried just the same
I wonder if the winds are going to blow our house away
The thunder and the lightning always makes me want to run
Sometimes I get so scared when the hurricanes come

(chorus)

My family is ready and we’ve got all our supplies
Food and bottled water and our freezer’s full of ice
My dad say’s it’s like camping and he tries to make it fun
But sometimes I get so scared when the hurricanes come

(chorus)
